Stoop Stories is looking for two summer interns. Stoop Stories connects, supports, and celebrates our NYC neighbors through documentary storytelling and community programs. Borough by borough, we are reviving stoop culture and bridging divides through cross-generational connections. This spring/summer we will be in full production on short films and workshops focused on intergenerational storytelling in Brooklyn. *We encourage BIPOC creatives to apply*

Production and Content Intern (P/T in NYC)

Who we’re looking for: A creative, energetic, organized, and proactive intern to assist and coordinate photo and video shoots, as well as events and potential exhibits, and content creation, for a growing community documentary project --  StoopStories.com / @Stoop.Stories. If you want to gain new experience, expand your portfolio, and collaborate with / be mentored by seasoned producers, join our energetic team. 

 Intern Responsibilities:

• Develop production schedule system in coordination with social media manager

• Book subjects and schedule shoots (reach out to story prospects)

• Maintain databases and assets (e.g., DropBox, Google Drive) 

• Edit video clips and shorts, create social content, and graphics

• Act as on-set PA or camera assistant  on fall shoots

• Coordinate post-production with editor

• Keep up-to-date with relevant trends, news and relevant accounts

• Work independently and set and meet realistic goals and deadlines

Social Media/Marketing Intern (P/T hybrid)

Who we’re looking for: An organized, creative, organized, and proactive intern to help manage social media and marketing for our growing documentary project -- StoopStories.com / @Stoop.Stories. Help share our stories, increase engagement, and build our community. ​If you want to gain new experience, expand your portfolio, and collaborate with / be mentored by seasoned producers, join our energetic team. 

Intern Responsibilities:

• Create social content, graphics and outreach in collaboration with the editorial team

• Oversee content calendar for Stoop Stories’ social media platforms 

• Work with Editorial Director to create thought-provoking, timely stories/social content

• Edit interviews and prep social media posts, tags and hashtags (within caption limits)

• Interact with our community across social channels (e.g. respond to comments, DMs)

• Assist with generating & distributing newsletters 

• Help maintain databases and assets (e.g. DropBox, Google Drive) 

• Keep up-to-date with relevant trends, news and relevant SM accounts

• Work independently and set/meet realistic goals and deadlines
